Name: JAPANESE 20-21ST CENTURY BROWN COLORED EARTHENWARE VASE BY ITO SHIN

Description: Japanese 20-21st century earthenware brown colored vase by Ito Shin. Ito Shin was born in Chiba, Japan in 1952 and has lived in worked in Mashiko in Tochigi Prefecture. He studied under another Mashiko artist, KIKUCHI AKIRA and became indepedent and opened his own kiln in 1975. He is a member of the DENTOKOGEIKAI, or traditional arts guild and also the Japan Ceramics Exhibition and has been selected to exhibited in their exhibitions since 1977. Signed by artist on bottom. The vase comes with TOMOBAKO, or original artist signed wooden storage box. The vase measures 10 1/4" tall by 9 1/2" in diameter. (dodene)
