Description: Japanese 20th century large KOKESHI doll. The very unusually designed KOKESHI has 2 naked women holding hands and looking at each other with a poem written saying, "2 women by the lake, looking at one another and speaking of who knows what". Dated August 14, 1990. From TOWADA Lake in AOMORI Prefecture. This doll stands 14 1/8" tall, with a head with a 4" diameter and a base with a 2 1/4" diameter.
