Description: Japanese glass vase made circa 1984 by glass artist TSUBOTANI AKIRA. TSUBOTANI was born in 1937 in Obanazawa in Yamagata Prefecture. He studied with SHIRAI KOUJIRO. He has exhibited many times since 1973 and his work of art are in such collections as the famous Corning Glass Museum. The vase comes with TOMOBAKO or original artist signed wooden storage box. The vase measures 9 1/4" tall and 8" in diameter. Unfortunately we discovered a hairline crack in the back of the vase, hence the deeply discounted price. (dorusu)
