Description: Japanese late 20th century (1984) lacquer box with fish and leaf design. The box is from the 31st NIHON DENTOUKOGEI Exhibition held in 1984. The box is done in orangish-red lacquer with black lacquer bottom. The box is done by lacquer artist KITAOKA SHOZO (1949 -). The box comes with TOMOBAKO, or original artist signed wooden storage box. The box measures 13" wide, 3 3/4" deep and 2 1/2" tall. ()
