Description: Japanese 20th Century hammered metal bowl. This contemporary designed bowl was made by Living National Treasure artist, SEKIYA SHIRO. The bowl is signed SHIRO on the bottom. The bowl is not hallmarked and appears to be an alloy such as sahari (which contains some silver) or haku-do (similar to "German Silver"). It measures 11 1/2" in diameter and 2 1/2" tall. The bowl comes with TOMOBAKO or original artist signed wooden storage box. (kanesu)
