Name: JAPANESE LATE 20TH CENTURY (1989) LACQUER TRAY BY ISOI SEIJI

Description: Japanese late 20th century (1989) lacquer tray by lacquer artist ISOI SEIJI (1960 - ). He was born in TAKAMATSU and studied lacquer with his father ISOI MASAMI (1926 - ). His father is a Living National Treasure artist for KINMA (incised and filled with colored lacquers) lacquering technique. Received his designation in 1985. The tray measures 18 3/4" long, 6 1/4" wide and 1 1/2" tall. The tray comes with TOMOBAKO, or original artist signed wooden storage box. (kanesu)
