Description: Japanese mid 20th century wood and lacquer tea caddy by Living National Treasure artist, SAIDA BAITEI (1900-1981). SAIDA BAITEI was recognized as a Living National Treasure for his gold leaf, or KIRIKANE technique. He was appointed in 1981. The tea caddy measures 2 5/8" tall and 2 5/8" in diameter. (dorunesu)
