Name: Japanese Art Deco Bronze Crane Okimono by Morimura Torizō (1897-1949)

Description: Japanese Art Deco cast bronze okimono 置物 (objet d'art) of a standing crane or tsuru 鶴.

By master metal artist Morimura Torizō (1897-1949). He was from Iseasaki in Gunma Prefecture, Japan. A very accomplished craftsman, he was first accepted into the Teiten exhibition in 1927.

Piece comes with awasebako 合わせ箱 (unsigned wooden storage box).
