Description: Japanese Late Edo to Early Meiji Period Takeda doll. The doll looks like the Kabuki character, Benkei. The doll has GOFUN (powder made from oyster shells) head and hands, painted eyes, cloth and paper clothing, armor and weapons. Great facial and body expression. The doll measures 14" tall and 11" wide. The stand measures 10 3/4" wide, 2 1/2" tall and 7 1/2" deep. (norusu)
