Description: Japanese EDO Period carved wooden RANMA of KOMAINU, temple guard dog. The KOMAINU is beautifully carved in high relief and with great expression and detail. The eyes have been painted in black and gold. The RANMA measures about 48" wide, 24" tall and 9" thick. (nenesu)
