Description: Japanese early Meiji Period HIRADO ware vase. The vase has landscapes painted on the front and back and ocean and birds on one side and clouds on the other. THe base has a stylized wave design. All painting is done in underglaze blue. There are 2 handles in the shape of dragons with BAKU-like heads. The vase measures 8 1/2" tall, 3 3/4" wide an 3" deep.
