Name: JAPANESE CIRCA 1900 PAIR OF PURE SILVER CHISELED VASES SIGNED BY YUKITERU

Description: Japanese circa 1900 pair of pure silver vases. The pair of silver vases has the design of a family of chicken in a bamboo grove. The left hand vase has a hen and 2 chicks and the right hand side vase has a rooster and 1 chick. The head areas of the adult chickens have some gold inlaid detailing. The chiseling work is expertly and beautifully done by artist name YUKITERU. The bottom of each vase is stamped JUNGIN, pure silver and also has the name MASAMITSU, probably the artist who made the silver vases. Each vase measures 6 3/4" tall and 1 3/4" wide at the widest. Comes with original wooden stands and storage box. The inner part of the lid of the box has the seal of the HATTORI clock shop of the Ginza area of Tokyo, a very famous store in Ginza known for their clocks and also silver works of art. (nodesu)
