Name: LARGE 19th Century Imari Charger with Kintsugi

Description: Japanese 19th Century large Imari charger. The charger has the design of birds and flowers and a fan and scroll done in blue underglaze and overglaze enamels. Beautifully painted. The charger has an old kintsugi ("golden joinery") or kinsukuroi ("golden repair") with gold lacquer to the upper right hand corner, but it still has a solid ring when tapped and is visually unobtrusive. Diameter 24.25" by Depth 3.5". (runesu)
