Description: Japanese Meiji Period gold lacquer box with shell design. The box consists of a top compartment and a bottom drawer. The box incorporates many of the lacquering techniques, such as HIRAMAKIE, TAKAMAKIE, NASHIJI. The box measures 2 3/8" tall, 4" long and 2 3/4" wide. Comes with wooden storage box. (norasu)
