Name: JAPANESE EARLY 20TH CENTURY CERAMIC SAKE BOTTLE

Description: Japanese Early 20th Century ceramic SAKE bottle. The bottle has the name KAWA NO SACHI SAKE shop written on the bottle with another character written on the other side. This character is probably the logo for the shop. The beige colored slip has dark brown and black glaze used for the characters. Some of the dark brown and black slip areas have been chipped off with time. These containers were used by the restaurants and bars of the time and returned to the SAKE suppliers for refills. The bottle measures 10" in height and 5" in diameter.
