| Description: |
Japanese early 20th century gourd shaped basket and natural wood and root stand. The basket is woven with bamboo strips and the custom made stand is made of natural wood branches and roots (perhaps of wisteria branches and mulberry roots). This type of basket is sometimes called "beehive" baskets in this country. The entire piece stand 20" tall, is 28" wide and is 13" deep. |
