Description: Japanese mid 20th century celadon porcelain MIZUSASHI water jar by MIYASHITA ZENJU (1901-1988). MIYASHITA ZENJU not only studied in his home town of Kyoto, but also did research in China and Korea. His works of art were often used by the Japanese Royal Family for presentation pieces. This jar comes with 2 lids, celadon porcelain lid and black lacquer lid. The porcelain lid has a handle done in the realistic shape of bamboo stalk and leaves. The jar measures 7 1/2" tall and 5 3/4" in diameter. (rukasu)
