Description: |
Japanese 20th Century porcelain vase. Made by artist, ITO SUIKO. ITO SUIKO is the art name, or GO of ITO YOSHIHARU 1894-1980. Born in Kyoto, Japan, ITO SUIKO studied ceramics under ITO TOZAN I and ITO TOZAN II. He first showed at the TEITEN in 1929 and established his own kiln in the GOJOZAKA area of Kyoto in 1931. In 1964 he became a judge for the prestigious NITTEN show, held annually in Japan. This vase has the design is of leaves and grapes. The vase measures 13 1/2" tall and 5" wide. Comes with storage box. (rurusu) |
