Description: Japanese late EDO Period HINA doll set. The set consist of emperor and empress dolls. The faces and hands are done with GOFUN, powder made from oyster shells. The dolls have eleborate KIMONO made of paper and cloth. The empress has a very elaborate headress. The emperor measures 10" tall and 12 1/2" wide. The empress measures 11 1/2" tall and 12 1/2" wide.
