Japanese 20th century vase by Japan Living National Treasure, Tokuda Yasokichi III, born Tokuda Masahiko in Komatsu, Japan. Vase is of simple round form with long, thin unfinished edge top. Tokuda Yasokichi III became Living National Treasure in 1997 and is recognized for work with Saiyu, glaze color gradation technique. Comes with TOMOBAKO, the original artist signed wooden storage box. The vase measures 12" tall and 9 1/2" wide at the widest. The "spout" measure 2 1/2" tall and about 1/2" in diameter. |
